Project MAST has been an AWESOME experience for me!  I'm so glad that I'm experiencing this!!!

I've been here 3 weeks and I've had some great sessions!  One session by Julie Nucci and Jim Overhiser of Cornell University dealt with the Fountan Board.  I am a STEM Applications teacher and circuits is in one of our units.  Julie and Jim broke it down to the simplest from and explained to us all.  One unit in the curriculum covers circuits and I feel that I have a better understanding now and can really teach it to my students.

I finally learned the difference between series and parallel circuits and how they need to be connected depending on what type of circuit it is.  I just wish that I could make or find someone to make the boards for me.  My classroom is basically hands on learning and these boards will give the students the main activity for understanding circuits just as I did.

In this session, Jim and Julie gave us 2 types of activities.  One was a sheet that we could draw the circuit on and the other was the actual board where we tested our drawings.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this session!  Looking forward to more!
